About bcdW

bcdW Magazine is a creative business magazine — a co-creative, action-driven platform that transforms insights into real-world impact. Its editorial framework is built around “C-words” — themes such as Culture, City, Community, Ceremony, Cemetery, Climate, Creativity, and Continuity. This structure provides coherence while allowing for wide creative and intellectual breadth.

Origins & Evolution: The journey began more than a decade ago as a newsletter for the community “Meet the Table.” After moving to New York, it evolved into BigC.Works, where the idea of “C.” was born — the recognition that everyone carries a seed (“Ceed”) within themselves, and this seed could grow into ideas, action, and collaboration. From this concept, the newsletter expanded into a full-fledged magazine, and later merged with the A-TO-A Connect community platform. This evolution led to today’s bcdW Magazine — shaped by the principle of “Abcd”, a simple yet powerful framework for continuous action and innovation.

Mission: Not just to publish stories, but to turn them into collaborations, pilot projects, partnerships, and events that have tangible impact.

Global + Local Nexus: The magazine focuses on cross-border knowledge transfer — bringing global practices into local contexts, and highlighting how local innovation can scale globally.

At its core, bcdW Magazine is more than a publication. It is a stage for ideas, a bridge for communities, and a catalyst for action.

Why Big C.

The "C" framework:
At bcdW Magazine, the “C” is not just a letter. It’s a lens—through which we reimagine how we live, remember, and build together.

Using "C-words" as a framing device provides both creative constraint and conceptual breadth: it offers thematic coherence and structural consistency while simultaneously permitting very diverse content across multiple domains. This intentional limitation paradoxically expands possibilities, allowing contributors to explore connections between seemingly unrelated topics that share this linguistic anchor. The alliterative quality of these C-themes also creates a memorable identity for the magazine that resonates with readers.

Here, we aim to distribute C-words to contributors, collaborators, and partners. This strategy of developing content, concepts, and cases around each assigned word is what we consider co-creation. The action-driving component of this process is called A-TO-A Connect, which consists of Stage, Table, and Community elements.
